Value Proposition

Disaster Services Corporation empowers recovery through innovative solutions: Delivering Funds with the Kare Survivor Wallet App's Debit Card Feature.

Through the Kare Survivor Wallet app, DSC aims to ensure that relief organizations and disaster survivors have access to products and funds in any disaster nationwide. The Kare Survivor Wallet app provides anti-fraud capabilities, accessibility, equity, and reporting to better serve relief organizations and disaster survivors.

  1. Anti-Fraud: While disasters often bring out the best of people, they also bring out the scammers. Visa Gift Cards are a trusted option for relief organizations.

  2. Accessibility: Depending on the relief organization, access to Mobile Gift Cards vary. DSC has had to spend hours in local gift cards to purchase $50,000+ of gift cards in $25 increments which takes hours. Through the Kare Survivor Wallet, hundreds of relief organizations can have access to provide virtual gift cards to survivors, saving time and resources.

  3. Equity: Traditional gift card distribution requires survivors to physically visit a MARC, DRC, PRAC, or POD, making it difficult for individuals with access and functional needs, survivors without transportation, or families who distrust the government. The app ensures an equitable distribution of gift cards to all survivors.

  4. Reporting: The Kare Survivor Wallet dashboard provides a comprehensive view of who has the gift cards, in what states, for which disaster, and how much has been spent, informing relief organizations on key operational decisions.
